Welcome to Two-Way Touring

Marshall Amp at Rancho Relaxo

My name is Dan Wolovick, and I’ve been booking shows both in Toronto and across Canada for the better part of a decade. I spent more than seven years as the talent booker at Rancho Relaxo in downtown Toronto, while also regularly booking bands as other venues in the city, including the Legendary Horseshoe Tavern, Sneaky Dee’s, El Mocambo, Rancho Relaxo, and Gladstone Hotel. At the same time, I also booked tours for several Toronto-based bands, including the Schomberg Fair, The Breaks and Papermaps, focusing primarily on tours covering Ontario/Quebec and Canada’s east coast.

I’ve recently relocated from Toronto to St. John’s, NL. While I continue to book upwards of twenty events each month in Toronto, through Two Way Monologues and my partner The Indie Machine, I’m also taking my recent move as an opportunity to branch out and focus more on booking tours. In particular, I want to help Toronto bands make their way east–hitting the great music scenes those provinces have to offer, and hopefully making their way all the way to St. John’s–while also finding ways for St. John’s bands to play for people in other parts of Canada.

To give you some examples of what I do, last year I worked on tours for The Blue Stones, Goodnight, Sunrise, The Breaks, Young Doctors in Love and a bunch more. Currently some upcoming tours include League of Wolves, Shore Thing, Julia Why?, Hogarth & the Sky Vines and more. Right now I am looking for a few acts per month that want to tour out to the East Coast or around Ontario/Quebec to fill out my touring schedule. For examples of what I am currently booking check the clients page (soon to be revamped).

With the contacts I’ve built up both in Toronto and across Canada over the years, and the new connections I’m making in St. John’s, I’m well placed to grow this business and get better and better at bridging the geographical divide between Ontario and the rest of Canada. I want to help music fans across the country hear new stuff, and find ways to expand the audiences of the great Canadian bands I already know and have yet to discover. My fees are reasonable and flexible, and I’m excited to work with you–please check out the information on this site to learn more about what I can do for you, and feel free to get in touch with any questions or to start our working relationship.
